About
Founded in 2004, the Barns of Rose Hill opened its doors to the public in 2011 after a six-year, $2 million fundraising campaign facilitated the transformation of two historic, though derelict, dairy barns into a vibrant center for arts and educational programs in the heart of downtown Berryville, Virginia. It is our mission to enrich lives through the arts, education, and community. The Barns of Rose Hill serves audiences across the Northern Shenandoah Valley and beyond, delivering more than 120 programs throughout the year and attracting guests of all ages, backgrounds, and interests with live performances, art exhibitions, literary talks, educational workshops, community events, and film screenings. With music of every genre, art of every medium, and workshops for every age, we continuously strive to act as a resource for engaging cultural activities. Our programs and galleries attract 8,000 to 10,000 visitors every year, and our reach is constantly expanding. As a Certified Tourism Information Center for the Commonwealth of Virginia, we also serve as the Berryville-Clarke County Visitors Center, fostering tourism and promoting local businesses and nonprofits within the community.
