The engagement and support of individual consumers is critical to the support of the Virginia Green Travel Program!    And the Green Travel Champions Program is beautifully simple.  

Green Travel Champions PLEDGE:

• Make Green Travel Choices by being aware of and looking for certified Virginia Green Travel Partners for lodging, dining, and fun.  You can find certified partners wherever you travel in Virginia by searching here.
• Give Feedback, both positive & negative, either directly to Virginia Green Travel Partners or let us know at [email protected].  
• Make Referrals to the VGTA for restaurants, attractions, and other tourism partners that should be Virginia Green certified.

SUPPORTING PARTNERS

Sustainably-minded corporations, businesses, and organizations of all kinds have an opportunity to make an incredible positive impact on green tourism simply by becoming more aware of the Virginia Green program and its resources.  

Green Travel Champions Program PLEDGE – Supporting Partners:

• Encourage Staff & Customers to Make Green Travel Choices when planning travel for business or pleasure.  You can find certified Virginia Green Travel Partners wherever you travel in Virginia by searching here.
• Plan/Demand Green Meetings.  Requiring your organization’s conference or meeting to be green is easy when you have that event at a Virginia Green certified facility.  More info on green meetings is found here.
• Give Feedback, both positive & negative, to Virginia Green Travel Partners
• Make Referrals to the VGTA for restaurants, attractions, and other tourism partners that should be Virginia Green certified.

• Requires submittal of a few pictures
• Encourages reporting of summary data related to wastes, energy and water, etc.
